Notice of Explanation of
Project Located in a
Floodplain

This is to give notice
that the Town of Princes
Lakes has conducted an
evaluation as required by
Executive Order 11988 in
accordance with HUD reg-
ulations of 24 CFR 55.20
to determine the potential
effect that its activity in the
floodplain or wetland will
have on the environment.
The Town of Princes
Lakes has determined that
there is not a practicable
alternative other than lo-
cating the proposed Com-
munity Development Block
Grant project described
below in a floodplain.
Water Improvements
Construction Project The
proposed work within the
floodplain includes the in-
stallation of water mains,
water services, valves,
and seeding & restoration.
The site will be returned to
previous condition follow-
ing construction, thus no
changes to the floodplain
are anticipated.
By publication of this
notice, the Town of
Princes Lakes is inviting
any final written comments
prior to undertaking the
proposed action. All com-
ments should be ad-
dressed to the projects
