HEARING CONCERNING
A PROPOSED LEASE
BETWEEN THE TOWN
OF WHITELAND
REDEVELOPMENT
AUTHORITY AND THE
TOWN OF WHITELAND
REDEVELOPMENT
COMMISSION


Taxpayers of the Town
of Whiteland Redevelop-
ment District
(Redevelopment District)
and all other persons af-
fected hereby are notified
that on August 14, 2025,
the Redevelopment Com-
mission of the Town of
Whiteland, Indiana (the
Commission) will hold a
public hearing upon a pro-
posed lease (the Lease)
to be entered into between
the Town of Whiteland Re-
development Authority, as
lessor, and the Commis-
sion, as lessee, with re-
spect to the leasing of cer-
tain roads within the Re-
development District, to-
gether with the Project (as
hereinafter defined), to en-
able the financing of a
new roundabout and cer-
tain other street and re-
lated improvements at
Whiteland Road and Bob
Glidden Boulevard in the
Town of Whiteland, Indi-
ana (the Project). The
proposed Lease will have
a term no longer than
twelve (12) years. The
maximum annual lease
rental to be paid by the
Commission under the
proposed Lease will not
exceed $400,000. Lease
rentals under the pro-
posed Lease will be paya-
ble from a special benefits
tax levied by the Commis-
sion pursuant to Indiana
Code 36-7-14-27, to the
extent not paid from other
available revenues of the
Commission, including but
not limited to tax incre-
ment revenues and other
revenues appropriated to
the Commission by the
Town of Whiteland, Indi-
ana (the Town). The pro-
posed Lease further pro-
vides for terms concerning
the use, maintenance, re-
pair, operating and utility
costs, insurance, de-
struction of the premises,
defaults, remedies, op-
tions to purchase and mis-
cellaneous other matters.
The public hearing will be
held at 7:00 p.m., Eastern
Standard Time, at the
Whiteland Town Hall, 549
Main Street, Whiteland, In-
diana 46184-1552. All in-
terested parties will be
provided the opportunity
be heard at the hearing.
After the public hearing,
which may be adjourned
from time to time, the
Commission may adopt a
resolution authorizing the
execution of the proposed
Lease on behalf of the
Town, if it finds that the
service to be provided
throughout the term of the
proposed Lease will serve
the public purposes of the
Town and it is in the best
of interests of the Towns
residents and that the
lease rental provided for is
fair and reasonable. The
proposed Lease is open to
public inspection in the
Clerk-Treasurers office of
the Whiteland Town Hall,
549 Main Street, White-
land, Indiana 46184-1552.
