NOTICE TO
TAXPAYERS
REGARDING
DETERMINATION TO
ISSUE BONDS OF THE
CITY OF GREENWOOD,
INDIANA

The taxpayers of the
City of Greenwood, Indi-
ana (the City), are
hereby given notice that
the Common Council of
the City determined, at its
meeting held November
17, 2025, to issue general
obligation bonds of the
City, iin one or more
series, in an original ag-
gregate principal amount
not to exceed $19,500,000
(the Bonds). The pro-
ceeds of the Bonds will be
used to fund a number of
proposed capital expendi-
ture and improvement
projects within the City
which include: (i) funding
the Citys share of John-
son Countys Smith Valley
Road bridge widening
project; (ii) Section 1 of
the Smith Valley Road
widening project from US
31 to Woodmen Crossing;
(iii) the Grassy Creek
Road widening project; (iv)
Section 3 of the Main
Street improvement proj-
ect; (v) the design, devel-
opment, construction and
equipping of Fire Station
No. 92 (collectively, the
Projects and each sepa-
rate project a Project);
and (vi) the costs of issu-
ance of the Bonds.
The proposed Bonds
will have a maximum term
no later than fifteen (15)
years from the date of is-
suance of the Bonds, and
will bear interest at a rate
or rates not exceeding
6.0% per annum, the ex-
act rate or rates to be de-
termined by bidding. The
Bonds will be payable
from ad valorem property
taxes levied and collected
on all taxable property
within the City.
