The Johnson County
Plan Commission will hold
a public hearing on the
24th day of August, 2026
at 6:00 p.m. . in the Audi-
torium of the Johnson
County Courthouse Annex
at 86 West Court Street,
Franklin, Indiana, to con-
sider amendments of the
text of the Unified Devel-
opment Ordinance of
Johnson County, Indiana
as follow
1. Amendments to
Chapter 2, Zoning Dis-
tricts, various sections
2. Amendments to
Chapter 3, Site Standards,
various sections
3. Amendments to
Chapter 4, Use Standards,
various sections
4. Amendments to
Chapter 5, Subdivision
Types, Section D
(Commercial Subdivision),
E (Industrial Subdivision),
and F Minor Residential
Subdivision)
5. Amendments to
Chapter 8, Zoning Admin-
istration and Procedures,
Section C (Board of Zon-
ing Appeals), 7 (Special
Exception Process)
6. Amendments to
Chapter 11, Rules of Inter-
pretation and Definitions,
various definitions
The proposed amend-
ments would apply to all
property located within the
unincorporated areas of
Johnson County. Written
suggestions or objections
to the provisions of said
request may be filed with
the Secretary of the John-
son County Advisory Plan
Commission at or before
such meeting and will be
heard by the Johnson
County Advisory Plan
Commission at the time
and place specified.
Interested persons de-
siring to present their
views upon said request,
either in writing or ver-
bally, will be given the op-
portunity to be heard at
the above-mentioned time
and place. Copies of the
petition may be examined
at the Johnson County
Department of Planning
and Zoning, 86 West
Court Street, Courthouse
Annex, Franklin, IN. The
hearing may be continued
from time to time as may
be necessary.
