NANCE NO. 2026-02: AN
ORDINANCE AMENDING
AND ADDING NEW PRO-
VISIONS TO CHAPTER
95 OF THE WHITELAND
TOWN CODE TO PRO-
VIDE FURTHER DIREC-
TION ON PERMITTING,
APPLICATIONS, AND
PROCEDURES, FOR
USE OF AND CON-
STRUCTION IN THE
TOWNS RIGHT OF WAY
Notice is hereby given,
pursuant to Ind. Code
36-5-2-10 and Ind. Code
5-3-1 et seq. that on the
10th day of March 2026,
the Town of Whiteland
(the Town) by the White-
land Town Council
adopted Ordinance No.
2026-02 (the Ordinance).
The Ordinance generally
modifies the permit and
work requirements regard-
ing the Towns right of
way, including without limi-
tation, increasing the
application/permit fee to
work in the Towns right of
way, increasing the re-
quired bond amount
and/or providing a replen-
ishing blanket bond, modi-
fying guidance on right of
way repair and permittee
responsibilities, workman-
ship, and restoration
standards, adding line pol-
lution standards, and
increasing/modifying the
penalties for noncompli-
ance. A copy of the
adopted Ordinance may
be viewed in its entirety at
the Whiteland Town Hall
located at 549 Main
Street, Whiteland, IN
46184, the Towns regular
business hours
Monday-Friday.
