PUBLIC NOTICE
In accordance with the
Construction Stormwater
General Permit from the
NPDES General Permit
Program, this is to notify
the public that the project
site owner listed below is
submitting a Notice of In-
tent to the Indiana Depart-
ment of Environmental
Management to discharge
storm water from con-
struction activities associ-
ated with the following:
The project site, to be
known as Greenwood Self
Storage, is located at the
southeast corner of
County Line Road and
Graham Road, adjacent to
the existing Caseys Gen-
eral Store, Greenwood, in
Johnson County, Section
26, Township 14 N, Range
4 E in Pleasant Township.
The project involves the
construction of a 3-story
self-storage building with
associated infrastructure
including asphalt parking
lots, streets, curbs, con-
crete sidewalks, storm
sewers, sanitary sewers,
water mains, wet deten-
tion pond, and other asso-
ciated infrastructure.
Stormwater runoff will be
collected via a proposed
storm sewer network and
conveyed to a proposed
wet detention pond lo-
cated on the west side of
the project site. The pro-
posed wet detention pond
will treat for both water
quantity and quality. A
proposed mechanical
water quality unit will also
be installed to treat for
water quality. The pro-
posed wet detention pond
will utilize an outlet control
structure to regulate flows
leaving the detention pond
with a 12 outlet pipe and
connect to an existing
storm sewer stub located
on the east side of Gra-
ham Road, ultimately
draining to Pleasant Run
Creek located south of the
project site. Water, sani-
tary, telephone, cable,
gas, electric, and other
utilities shall serve the
property as well. Con-
struction is anticipated to
begin in Fall 2026.
