NOTICE OF PUBLIC
HEARING CONCERNING
RESOLUTION 2026-003
AN ADDITIONAL
APPROPRIATION OF
THE TOWN OF
TRAFALGAR, INDIANA
The residents and tax-
payers of the Town of Tra-
falgar, Indiana (the
Town), are hereby noti-
fied that the Trafalgar
Town Council (the Town
Council), the proper fiscal
body of the Town, will hold
a public hearing at 6:00
p.m. on March 19, 2026,
at the Trafalgar Town Hall,
2770 W. State Road 252,
Trafalgar, IN 46181, on
the matter of Council Res-
olution 2026-003, appro-
priating $2,500, in Local
Law Enforcement Continu-
ing Education Funds
(Fund No. 2228), to be
used to fund the continu-
ing education of police of-
ficers and all other lawful
purposes; appropriating
$500 from the Police Do-
nations Fund (Fund No.
2301) for vehicle
wraps/branding and all
other lawful purposes; ap-
propriating $1,324.33,
from the Police Equipment
Fund (Fund No. 4409) for
equipment purchases and
all other lawful purchases;
appropriating $757.81
from the K-9 Donation
Fund (Fund No. 2302) for
equipment and all other
lawful purposes; and ap-
propriating $81.41 from
the Reserves Donation
Fund (Fund No. 2305) for
the use by police reserve
officer equipment and all
other lawful purposes. The
proposed appropriations
are in excess of the
budget for the current
year. At said public hear-
ing, all persons shall have
the right to appear and be
heard concerning the pro-
posed appropriations. The
additional appropriations
as finally made will be re-
ferred to the Department
of Local Government Fi-
nance (Department). The
Department will make a
written determination as to
the sufficiency of funds to
support the appropriations
within fifteen (15) days of
receipt of a certified copy
of the action taken.
